ISLE 'AVE A SHANTY

Saturday 23rd March 2024 at 8.00pm

Isle ‘Ave A Shanty are a 6 piece A Capella male harmony group based on the Isle of Ely. They specialise in traditional songs from the sea and the country in a folk style as well as putting a folk twist on some modern classics! They are a rarity in being a sea shanty band from a landlocked county but they bring their own style to traditional songs and songs they made up themselves.

Their live show is all about camaraderie, fun and interaction. Be ready to sing along heartily and join in with the actions as they take you on a journey across the oceans, through the countryside and maybe a few songs about grog, noggins and even a drop of Nelson’s blood.

Look them up for the full story and a sample of their sound on their website - https://isleaveashanty.com

RODNEY BRANIGAN in concert

Saturday 1st June 2024 at 8.00pm

How do you introduce Rodney Branigan?  Well let’s quote from his website….Americana Folk Roots with virtuoso presentation, with a touch of clean comedy thrown in for good measure.  Rodney’s style is trademarked as “Full Contact Folk Music”……

UK based, Rodney has performed on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury in 2019 and in the Glasto Extravaganza 2018, double heading with Tom Odell. Rodney now performs across Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.  Although, sometimes known as “Two Guitar Man”, Rodney’s music goes far beyond the theatrical to bring profound lyrics and beautiful ballads.
