THE CARTWHEEL PENNIES IN CONCERT

Saturday 6th June 2026 at 8.00pm

The Cartwheel Pennies formed in October 2024 and originate from Leicestershire. Band members are Liz Wall, Amanda Berry and Julie Holland, three singer songwriters and multi-instrumentalists.

The Cartwheel Pennies perform their own original material, weaving powerful harmonies into their varied repertoire which draws on folklore and historical events.

Liz, Amanda and Julie’s much-anticipated first studio album has recently been launched and copies will be on sale at the concert along with tea-towels and possibly chocolate Cartwheel Pennies!

Tracks from the album have been played on BBC Introducing in the East Midlands and the song ‘Top of her Tree’ was selected as ‘track of the day’ for various local radio stations and was called ‘just joyful’. A recent review of the album said that while UK female folk trios remain few and far between, The Cartwheel Pennies are a fine addition to that currency.

Reg Meuross, Fatea Best Male Vocalist 2013, FolkWords Best Album 2014, Song of 2017 (Faraway People), Soloist of the Year 2019 Folking.com

Whether it’s a village hall or the Albert Hall, Reg brings to the stage a collection of extremely beautiful songs, performed with humour and depth, and sung with the voice of an angel.
